A beggar, a prince and a poet.
Arrive at the same time in town.
The beggar looking for food.
The Prince, a kingdom and crown.

Why are you not hungry?” he begs.
I live in a world without need.”
Don’t you want your own Kingdom?
Why would I want to make the world bleed?

The beggar and prince both baffled.
Look at each other in surprise.
Oh my god, I’m a beggar…’
The Prince orders both our demise.

Devotion

I hate when woman congregate,
but keep their mouths to themselves.
I decide to occupy the garden,
watch some crawling shelves.

I dream of touching my woman,
the same way I grab my beer.
Imagine the horror of bottles,
discussing the mouth they fear.

Women talk and talk and talk,
exchange tearful emotion.
I pop the cap of my bottled beer,
drink with endless devotion.

Astonished

You leap onto my lap a cat.
Besotted with pleasure and rum.
I protest to reading a script,
but my hand is already on your bum.

You spin and purr and tease.
Your mouth kisses both my knees.
Angered, I grab your cast.
You respond, as if hit by a blast.

Astonished, I stare at your face.
Shocked… surprised by what I see.
“I hate you, you fucking bastard!”
And the lioness sets herself free.

Beggar

You sit on the side of the pavement.
Your back a display long broke.
I stare at you, this old man…
A ruin of what was once awoke.

In your dreams you’re still a boy,
but your arms and legs won’t move.
Stained coat, lonely trousers,
defeat, decay, dirty your groove.

Please sir, can you spare me something?”
With a shiver I realize who you are.
Your eyes see only this dimension.
Known to a soul torn by a scar.

A body they chose not to love.
A mind they chose not to see.
I fall onto my knees and weep.

Simon – When Tragedy Strikes (003)

I. Simon / Simon

Simon - When Death Strikes

Simon

Old man leaves his ruinous flat,
To visit a Broadway show.
Politely greets the drunkard,
who vacated long ago.

He drives the same old station car.
Meticulously kept over the years.
A retired registered accountant.
He no longer keeps track of his tears.

He woke this summer morning.
Eager to see the face of his wive.
She died a decade earlier.
After a long cancerous strife.

He’s convinced it’s almost Sunday,
but’s its noon, Friday at best.
He keeps forgetting his medicine.
Snores as he tries to rest.

Decides to visit his eldest son.
Who left the country long ago.
Has trouble reading the signs,
because of the falling snow.

Hurry up Jimmy“, mother yells.
Trisha and Joy already in the back.
Little Jimmy wrestles with his shoe,
wails about laces and slack.

Oh, for crying out loud…”
Mother walks back to the house.
What’s the matter?” she demands.
Inspecting her little spouse.

I don’t want to wear Spongebob,”
it makes me look so silly.”
She shakes her head with a sad smile.
He’s such a nilly willy.

Batman leaves the house.
Swings his cape onto the front seat.
You look scary.” Joy whispers.
Trisha tinkers with her feet.

Jimmy quickly weighs his options.
Decides he’s rather cool.
Better to be a mean bat,
than a sponge who plays the fool.

Mummy, ” Joy shrieks, “I need to pee.”
Ok, come with mummy to the little T
Where are we going?” Batman asks.
Trisha tells him, it’s one of her tasks.

Does anyone else need to pee?
They shake their head as one.
She shifts the angle of the mirror,
somewhat blinded by the sun.

Can I please ride a brown pony?
Will they have strawberry ice?
It’s going to be a long fare…’
“Simon’s a good man,” was mother’s advice.

She turns her car onto the highway.
As measured and careful as she can.
On days of leisure and pleasure.
She’s annoyed to have Simon as her man.

Always on duty with the Navy.
He loves to sail the distant seas.
Mummy, my cape is stuck…”
She looks at his urgent pleas.

Mummy, please help me, I’m stuck.”
She hears this strange humming.
A witness later declared,
Neither saw it coming.”

Mummy LOOK!” Batman screams.
The collision disintegrates both cars.
The sight of his severed head.
Left some with lifelong scars.

The ambulance driver arrives home.
His wife looks at him and cries.
“It kills me to see children…”
He sobs, while part of him dies.

Simon looks at the Ocean.
Several years passed by.
Sometimes there are moments,
when he feels the need to cry.

Jimmy’s body was in a closed casket.
The girls burried with their Mother.
The old man’s cremated remains,
were scattered among some other.

Simon… is a man.
Who suffered more than most.
Sometimes late at night,
I sit beside him by the coast.

It must be achieved through skill,
otherwise it doesn’t count.
I silence my general with a gesture,
before I majestically dismount.

Why should I care about this place?
I point towards the city wall.
My Lord“, she whispers meekly.
By thine hand… it shall fall.”

Send her on her way with a wave.
Ponder my enemies deceit.
To send me the princess upfront,
tastes a little too much like defeat.

Toy Store

I stroll into my local toy store,
in search of gifts and attention.
Look mother, it’s Mako The Poet.
Oh God,” she whispers with apprehension.

I’ll need an N-strike Elite Strongarm.”
And one huge Slight Blast Armour.
Extend my imaginary sable.
To chop off the head of some farmer.

But Sir, you’re not supposed to…”
Jump onto this skateboard cruiser.
Clumsiness clutches whereas gravity shifts,
this’ll turn into a rightful bruiser…’

Covered with Skylanders I moan.
The crash has left me somewhat confused.
When pigs arrive to drag me from the scene,
I’ll admit I felt a little abused.

A drunk. a warrior, a lover?
Hazed, dazed and media numb.
Truth seems hard to discover.

A tool useful to others.
Capable of friendly gestures.
Valued by leaders and mothers.

Never present in any row.
My body seems hard to find.
Blessed with a warrior exterior.
My Spirit leans towards kind.

Naked, I admire my feet.
Lovely buggers to behold.
Steadfast in many battles.
Never allowed me to fold.

Kneecaps wonderfully smooth.
I admire my lingering dick.
A little hairy for the summer.
Thank god, I’m rather thick.

Balls, bullocks, beef.
Slaughter, kill, maim.
My penis penetrates your vagina.
What a bloody silly game.

Is it better to be a woman?
To receive the world on your back?
To bleed and feed and nurture.
To slide a bra on your rack.

I look at my stomach muscles.
Four out of six can be seen.

leaves prissy and chubby dismayed.

The legs of Sally are dazzling.
An anthem of shapely zest.
Ladies… I’m a wanted criminal.
Make a passionate plea for my arrest.

Relish movements in tact.
Exuberant hit-and-run punching.
They laugh at the matter-of-fact.

Stand on the bench together.
Would as their benchmark tool.
Whomever dares jump the furthest.
May treat the rest like a fool.

No fun when it rains all day,
with ice-cream on your mind.
When you long for colorful sprinkles,
yet the world feels so unkind.

I open the cupboard accustomed,
to hardship and human deceit.
Unwrap my nutty Cadbury,
while I dream of a new pair of feet.

Imagine I’m walking in Russia.
Plenty of vodka and beer.
A party with Putin and Kasparov,
Would not last long I fear.

KGB boots me out of Russia,
Off to the Colosseum I’ll go.
Mesmerized by Rome and Italy.
Gladiators fearful of snow.

Through mud I flee for my life.
Got caught with Caesar’s wife.
Mark Antony thunders my trail,
but he fails to tip the scale.

I visit centurions in the desert.
Opposite an empire wry as sand.
A million arrows await them.
Where Crassus orders them to stand.

Never, Never, NEVER attack an enemy.
Who masters the wisdom of timely retreat.
I’ll have my ice-cream tomorrow,
and laugh at yesterday’s defeat.

but its actually my protein bar.

and charge my electric car.

Paganini

Mosaic flowery violins,
Paganini brightens my day.
I munch some laden sugar snacks,
to recover from morning play.

I’ve been hired to give this lecture,
about Liberty’s meaning to man.
I’m preoccupied with her vagina,
but I do the best I can.

My eyes are drawn to this woman.
Twenty, when breasts are best.
That was quite an impressive speech…”
but you cannot save the West.”

The Nazis did us all in,”
she explains with a serious look.
What about America and Eugenics?
I throw her a little hook.

Her face turns red with anger.
Why was everything destroyed?
I invite her to join me for dinner,
As she muses about what she enjoyed.

America supplied oil to the Nazis,”
Sweden sold them all their steel.”
She languishes a beautiful smile,
when she grasps how she makes me feel.

If you had to pick a season,”
a time of year to be born…”
but my tackiness and teasing,
are met with genuine scorn.

All my friends think I’m crazy…”
I think you’re a woman with a heart.”
Her doubtful eyes dart left and right,
while she spreads herself apart.

Sadness… fear… joy… struggle within.
She has me strangely moved.
All this talk about Justice and Humanity.
Maybe my taste has improved.

You prance your red summer hat,
curvaceous in every direction.
Your frivolous blueish skirt,
provokes my deepest affection.

Shadowy pearls brighten your neck,
the look in your eyes says ‘please’.
Isn’t this wonderful?‘, you deliberate.
A pick-nick with cotton cheese.

I smile at your leisurely posture.
A female Sheppard at rest.
I’m bothered by so many sheep,
it’s hard to keep anger abreast.

What’s wrong?“, you ask alarmed.
Why are you so full of despair?
I’m witnessing Rome’s collapse…”
and nobody seems to care.”
